Farm House Refurbishment And Extension

Auchlean, Glenfeshie, Cairngorms National Park

Existing Farmhouse and outbuildings were for the most part untouched since 1911. The building was desperately in need of attention.

The client was seeking to create a family home in a spectacular location at Glenfeshie within the Cairngorms National Park. The existing timber outbuildings required to be demolished and the existing farm house stripped back to the stonework in order to be able to properly insulate and make good years of neglect.

A substantial extension was then added to provide sufficient space for an office, utility, large kitchen dining area and living room, and to make the most of the spectacular setting.

It was also designed to fit in with the vernacular of the existing building and local area.
