Manse Steading Conversion

Conversion of existing redundant steading to substantial private house.
Prepared design and obtained planning and building warrant approvals for client to then take project forward as self build. Existing steading roof construction included large trusses at several metre centres with purlins between.
Project is using similar construction with use of oak trusses with purlins and rafters over. Other features included use of MHVR system and low air permeability together with good insulation to reduce heat loss.
